My second yoga teaching vacation in Curaçao

My second yoga teaching vacation was to the beautiful island of Curaçao. I’ve been to Aruba before and loved it, so I was interested in trying Curaçao because it’s part of the “ABC islands” (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao). Once again, I was able to work with Fit Bodies for my Curaçao yoga trip. I wrote a more detailed blog post on how I got set up with Fit Bodies and the process of booking a trip as a yoga instructor. Curaçao accommodations

Once I decided that Curaçao would be my next teaching destination, I booked my flight through JetBlue. The flight and process of getting through the airport in Curaçao was smooth. The booking included a second adult as well, so I was able to bring a companion with me! Fit Bodies set us up with Amstar to transport us from the airport to the hotel. I taught yoga at the Zoëtry Curaçao Resort & Spa, and my hotel room was just across the street at the Dreams Curaçao Resort. Both properties are all-inclusive resorts, with plenty of great options for food, entertainment, and relaxation.

First-class treatment

I was scheduled for a 9:30am yoga class and a 5:30pm meditation. During my stay, I often walked across the street to the Zoëtry for class, but you can also request a golf cart to take you across. The staff were welcoming, and the entertainment manager was so friendly and helpful. The entertainment team always made sure I was set up with everything I needed for class, and they provided their own yoga mats and blocks for guests. I always bring my own speaker to play music, but the resort had their own as well. You couldn’t ask for a better environment to teach in!

The Curaçao experience

Between yoga classes, I had plenty of time to explore both the resorts. The Zoëtry Curaçao had a very relaxing vibe and I loved it there! I took lots of naps by the pool and beach, enjoying the sun and island breeze. They have a private beach area that you can get access to by golf cart, and the views are beautiful. The Dreams Resort, where I stayed, has a beach on Piscadera Bay with a beautiful snorkeling area. They have snorkeling equipment available to rent, so I had to give it a try. Snorkeling was lots of fun, and there were so many different types of fish to see! Besides enjoying the gorgeous surroundings, the Zoëtry Resort puts together fun activities that are included in your stay. I participated in aqua fitness classes, took advantage of the gym, joined a cooking class led by the head chef of the resort, and enjoyed a poolside painting class!

Final thoughts

My trip to Curaçao was successful thanks to Fit Bodies. I definitely plan to come back and explore the city and island some more. I enjoyed my second yoga teaching trip and I’m excited to plan another one soon!
